Fashion imagery remains Stripe's first love. "I guess having a Mum in the rag trade and a Dad who worked in the physics of glass meant I would always end up as a fashion photograpger," he jokes.
In the last 10 years Stripe has undertaken more work in product and advertising imagery. "I like the challenge of creating a visual narrative that holds the customers interest and inbeds the marketing message."
"A portrait should be more than a likeness. It should provide an insight into the person and say something about them, their feelings or motivations. It should also be creative, it should use your technical skill to draw out feeling."
When not in the studio, Stripe has always shot wall art. "It's a different challenge and a different set of skills. It's also nice to be alone, away from the studio with only waiting for the light to concern you."
